Bennar Balkaya will speak at an arbitration clinic/workshop jointly held by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) European Branch and the British Turkish Lawyers Association (BTLA) in Istanbul on 12.06.2009 to provide Turkish lawyers with training and practical input on preparing for and running an arbitration case.

International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has elected Bennar Balkaya as the Regional Coordinating Committee member of the ICC Young Arbitrators Forum (YAF) Africa, Middle East & Turkey Chapter.

Bennar Balkaya has been elected as the Coordinator of Foreign Relations Center of the Istanbul Bar Association.

JULY 2008

Bennar Balkaya has won this year's award granted by the International Sales, Franchising and Product Law Section of the International Bar Association (IBA) with her winning paper on "Comparative analysis of product recall requirements for toys in four selected countries" for IBA's Annual Conference taking place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 12 - 17 October 2008.
